The Park 50

If you can believe it these photos were taken in Jeanne-Mance Park. These guys were pros (they were from http://nitrousa.com), some Americans from Salt Lake and the riders were German. They were using big elastics to get the velocity they needed to get over the jump, and it seemed as though they had it down to a science. And they had a photographer and a videographer with them too. Fun times in the park!

Some workers in the park this past fall. They were working on making platforms for a whole slew of new benches that will be added in the spring. The first 2 images are of Mario whom I ran into twice in one day, once in the morning when he was starting work at the park (up top) and then again later in the afternoon (middle image).

The hockey boards in the fall. The third image was taken on Halloween when hundreds or thousands of starlings were circling the park together.

Some visitors to the mountain this past fall. The top image is of a group of friends who met at the mountain before going to a show later on that day. The middle one is of a well known Sunday afternoon tam-tams musician (although he no longer plays at the monument since he was once asked to leave), and lastly a runner stretching after his run.

Some scenes from the park at the end of the summer. It definitely doesn't look like this now! I was out in the cold snow yesterday photographing tobogganers, skiers, snow shoers and more. Can't wait for more winter photos.

2 great beards. I don't know anything about the top guy. That photo was taken on a Sunday at tam tams towards the end of the summer and he stopped just long enough for me to take one exposure. In contrast I talked quite a bit with the gentleman in the bottom 2 photos. He had just finished a yoga sun salutation, and before that he had been grocery shopping at Segal's.
